    Following the successful debut of our Somerset collection—a modern interpretation of classic elegance—we now turn our attention to a well-worn, all-time favourite genre of watches: the diver’s watch.

    Our design challenge: how do we give the archetypical, oft-copied diver’s watch a complete makeover, one that stays true to the TENNET identity, with nothing derivative, all original?

    Enter: The Argonaut.

    A bold new interpretation of the diver’s watch, one that begins with a dial of stunning mazarine blue, evoking the deep mysteries of the majestic ocean. Its sunray finish dances in the light, offering vibrant contrast against the rich depth of its tone.

    The hands command attention immediately. Highly polished, unmistakably expressive and sculptural, they elevate the teardrop motif introduced in the TENNET Somerset to a vivid, curvaceous new paradigm. 

    At the cardinal positions, one of TENNET’s signature elements—the teardrop motifs remain in place. Rounded pips take over at the minute positions, in mauve-hued Superluminova to complement the blue dial which comes alive in the dark. A lollipop second hand finishes the dial, adding a sweet, elegant twist.

    At 6 o’clock, "Singapore" is proudly emblazoned, for this watch is wholly designed in our home country.

    A sportier silhouette is achieved through the addition of a matte blue aluminium bezel, chosen for its graceful ageing over time for a beautiful patina. The 120-click uni-directional bezel offers supreme tactile feedback, with Superluminova-painted indices and numerals for functionality in low-light conditions.

    Protecting it all is a double-domed sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Its optical distortion evokes the mineral crystals of vintage dive watches, but with the scratch resistance of modern sapphire.

    The screw-down crown, echoing the Somerset’s distinctive “Domino” dimples, now features protective crown guards for added durability. This carries through to the little red dot on the crown face—a subtle but significant tribute to Singapore’s nickname: The Little Red Dot.

    The case diameter is a versatile and sporty 40mm, with a 20mm lug width for quick strap or bracelet changes. The horned lugs (another nod to TENNET Somerset’s DNA) are dramatically curved, sandblasted in pinched segments, and curve slightly downward for a comfortable wrist-hugging fit.

    We created a new three-piece interlocking bracelet, fully matte-finished in stainless steel. Designed bespoke for the Argonaut, it is functional and sporty, equipped with quick-release ends and micro-adjustment capabilities.

    At the heart of the Argonaut is a Swiss automatic Sellita movement, chosen for its reliability and precision.

    A fearsome octopus etched onto the closed caseback, guarding the movement within—an homage to the deep sea, and a bold symbol of strength, wisdom, and mystery.

    The Argonaut boasts 300 meters of water resistance, ready for real-world adventures, both on land and in the sea.
